In the current investigation, different amounts of nano Al2O3 particles (0-2-4-6 wt.%) added to atomized NiTi powder and milled in ball mill for better homogenization and sintered withvacuum sintering method. Different temperatures and times tested for optimizing the sintering condition. Nano Al2O3 particles added in order to improve the wear property of the composite in compare with NiTi. DSC test was used for measuring of transformation temperatures.. Nanoindentation test used to evaluate the pseudoelasticity, hardness and elastic modulus of the NiTi based composites. The results showed that both of the hardness and elastic modulus considerably increased in composite samples in comparison with pure NiTi while pseudoelasticity was not much affected. The worn surfaces was investigated by EDX equipped SEM. Wear test results confirmed that after addition of nano particles to NiTi matrix, wear performance improved in both low loads and high loads.
