چکیده:

In this paper vibration characteristics and critical speed of a rotating functionally graded cylindrical shell under constant axial loads are investigated. The shell dynamical equations are obtained using thin shell theory. The effects of centrifugal and coriolis forces have been incorporated into formulation. These equations are solved using wave propagation approach. Further, analytical results are validated and a goodagreement is found between the present results and those reported in the literature. Also a parametric study is done to analyze the critical speed of the rotating FG cylindrical shell under axial loading
