چکیده:

In this paper, the mixing model of heterogeneous multiphase system such as immiscible polymer blends was verified by first applying it to mixing of a homogeneous system made of two differently colored LDPE melts, and then was extended to two heterogeneous systems made of LDPE/PP and LDPE/PS. The results of the homogeneous system show the interfacial particles steady movement in the direction of the fluid flow and for the heterogeneous systems shows the segregation of particles from the interface. Also, it was observed that the velocity and the size of segregation of the LDPE/PP heterogeneous system were higher than that of LDPE/PS heterogeneous system.
