چکیده:

In several applications it is required to retrieve the detailed fluid description from equilibrium calculation performed on lumped fluid description. The purpose of this paper is to develop a systematic approach for lumping and delumping with equilibrium calculations using PC-SAFT equation of state to accelerate equilibrium calculations while having detailed information. The proposed methodology basis is to calculate some delumping coefficients from the lumped system flash calculation to use in the retrieval of detailed fluid. To prepare the lumped system, the components are classified in the groups through a clustering algorithm and the group properties are calculated according to mixing rules. The suggested methodology is then applied to 4 synthetic gases and two real natural gas condensate and oil reservoir fluids, from reliable data to examine its accuracy and efficiency. The delumped equilibrium ratios were close to detailed equilibrium ratios with only small deviations. The providing method can utilize the PC-SAFT EOS for compositional reservoir simulation making faster equilibrium calculation while modeling complex compositional processes in the the porous media
