چکیده:

The effect of tarnsmembrane pressure on the fouling mechanisms and flow decline were studied in the dead-end microfilteration of rough non-alcoholic beer (RNAB) through0.45μm cellulose acetate (CA) polymeric membrane using blocking models. Flux decline and characteristic curve of log(d2t/dV2) vs. log (dt/dV) were also analyzed using a recently developed model that applied for simultaneous pore blockage and cake filtration. It was shown that sequence of the foulingmechanisms of CA membrane in different TMPs is the same for final steps to be intermediate blocking and cake filtration. It wasrevealed that increase in TMP leads to a higher filtration flux due to the higher driving force. It also has been confirmed that the transition from pore blocking to cake filtration occurs at a lower filtration flux for the membrane under lower transmembrane pressure (TMP
