In this study, droplet impact on a superheated surface in the Leidenfrost regime is simulated via a novel numerical procedure. Conservation equations of mass, momentum and energy are solved and vaporization rate is calculated accurately. A combination of the level set method and the ghost fluid method is used for sharp modeling of the interface. In order to taking into account the effect of the formed vapor layer betweendroplet and surface, mesh is clustered near the surface.There is a good agreement between numerical results and available experiments.
