چکیده:

Variation of fluid properties such as viscosity and density with temperature is considered to investigate the heat transfer and fluid flow in an I-type microchannel heat sink. For this purpose, basic conservation equations of heat, mass and momentum are solved to study the effects of input velocity, temperature, and heat flux as the controllable factors on maximum temperature of system. The simulation results are verified with experimental data that show good agreement. According to the Results, among the studied parameters, the input velocity has the most effect on both flow distribution and maximum temperature of fluid occurring at the lowest layer in the microchannel outlet. Increasing the input velocity of fluid tothe header reduces the maximum temperature and increases the mal-distribution of fluid flow. Maximum temperature of fluid is the most important controlling factor to keep the system in single phase. According to the input fluid velocity and temperature limitations, the maximum heat load could not be exceeding from some certain amount.
