چکیده:

Nanotechnology is regarded as the basis of other technologies and is considered the first priority of many countries’ development programs in technology transfer from research sector to industry. This technology has application in many industries including medical, food, biotechnology, transportation, energy, electricity, environment and materia.ls However, the role of nanotechnology in energy sector ranging from improving efficiency of energy saving as well as energy transfer is of great importance. In this article, the role of Nanotechnology in producing catalysts, fuel cells, carbon Nano-tubes and examination of photovoltaic method with the aim of achieving high efficiency in energy saving and reduction of environmental pollutions will be discussed. Studies indicate that the influential role of Nanotechnology in the efficiency of solar cells and different fuel cell components including electrodes, electrolytes, and also considerable increase of efficiency and lifetime is utterly proved. Carbon Nano-tube is known due to high electrical and thermal conductivity and its application as hydrogen absorber and saver. Also, the application of Nano-structured materials in the catalysts used in gas turbine combustionchamber for the purpose of reducing pollutants of power plants flue gases is very important.
