An experimental setup is designed and constructed in order to test the performance characteristics of a laboratory desiccant wheel. the tested 20cm diameter wheel was also designed and constructed using aluminum corrugated foil coated by silicagel powders.the performance of the wheel was investigated in some different weather conditions of Iran. The weather conditions in some Iran cities such as Mahshahr port, Gorgan, Rasht and Chabahr were simulated using an environmental condition test chamber which is enable to provide conditioned air in a vast rnge of temperature and humidity. It is found that, the best moisture removal capacity (MRC) occurs in Rasht and Chabahar using 60°C regeneration air. Regeneration specific heat input (RSHI) was also measured and calculated, again best results were belong to Rasht and Chabahar.the measured desiccant coefficient of performance (DCOP) was between 0.3 up to 9 in different climate conditions and different test conditions.
