The paper deals with polypropylene (PP)/poly (styrene-b-(ethylene-co butylene)-b-styrene) tri-block copolymer (SEBS)/polycarbonate (PC) ternary blends in which, the impact strength is studied using L9 nominal Taguchi methodology. First of all, nine samples are produced at different processing conditions within a twin screw extruder, in accord with L9 design. Three nominal processing parameters were die temperature, screw speed, and order of mixing which were changed based on L9 Taguchi experimental design; then, the impact strength of the produced samples was considered as the responding variable. By analyzing the impact data regarding with either mean or interactive effects by using Taguchi analysis, it is observed that the impact strength of the PP/SEBS/PC ternary blends is not affected by die temperature significantly, whereas screw speed and blending sequence showed major contribution on it. Consequently, the best sample regarding to highest impact strength toward such ternary systems, was identified optimization of experimental data, on the basis of L9 methodology.
