چکیده:

Different sol-gel methods were used in the preparation of alumina supports and washcoating FeCrAl foils. The prepared alumina washcoat layer had large surface area and nanopore size with uniform poresize distribution. Ultrasonic, and thermal shock testings were used for adhesion evaluation. Results showed that the capabilities of different sol-gel methods for washcoating FeCrAl foils were not equal. The effects of the mixing time of the gel formation stage on the surface area and quality of the washcoat were also investigated.
