Information technology (IT) has radically transformed the world of industry and commerce and significantly affected almost every factory and office worker. It has evolved from an administrative toa strategic orientation. They are now commonly used not only to enhance productivity, but also toimprove effectiveness and create a competitive edge. Some firms have even secured enormousstrategic advantages by using information technology to transform radically the nature of theirindustries. Technology advancements over the past 20 years have presented both an external threat andinternal opportunity for human resource management effectiveness. The major aim of this paper is to study the challenges and opportunities of information technology in human resource management effectiveness. The mentioned aim is studied by challenges and opportunities of information technology in human resource management effectiveness. The research methodology used is descriptive and for collecting theoretical aspects of the research scientific books and journals have been studied.This paper is valuable for the organizations and human resource management professionals who areconsidering or reviewing their current management development activity. It makes a number ofrecommendations for organizations seeking to implement best practice management, as well asdetailing the likely future nature of management development across the board.
