We have used the statistical associating fluid theory with attractive potentials of variable range equation of state (SAFT-VR EOS) for calculation of the second virial coefficient and the Boyletemperature of some polar and non-polar substances. We have compared the results with the Tsonopoulos correlation for the second virial coefficient. We have used the parameters of theSAFT-VR EOS reported in references. For some substances such as ketones, esters and ethers no parameters for the SAFT-VR EOS are found. In this situation, the parameters of this EOS areadjusted to experimental vapor pressure and saturated liquid density data. The maximum and minimum differences from Tsonopoulos correlation and SAFT-VR EOS are 285 and 20.12 K,respectively. For more comparison, the Zeno lines of benzene, methane and methanol are also calculated and compared with the experimental data of Zeno line and saturation curve from NIST.We may conclude that the Zeno line of SAFT-VR EOS shows linearity for these substances. For benzene, the calculated Zeno line shows good agreement with experimental Zeno line, while incases of methane and methanol deviations from experimental data are observed
