ZnO, a wide bandgap semiconductor with large exciton binding energy, possesses unique properties [1, 2]. ZnO has a broad range of high technology applications, including surface acoustic wave filters, nanoscale lasers, light-emitting diodes, photodetectors, varistors, gas sensors, and solar cells. A wide range of research interest has been aroused on preparation of diverse morphologies. The microwave provides fast and homogeneous heating, leading to a more rapid and simultaneous nucleation, high yields, high purity and lower cost [3, 4]. Here in; we report fabrication of ZnO flower-like via microwave route within a few minutes. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used for characterization of the as-prepared product. The room temperature photoluminescence (PL) spectrum has also been examined to explore the optical property
