چکیده:

۱, ۱-Bis-methyl-3, 3-methylene-bisimidazolium dithiocyanate were prepared and used as reagent and reaction medium. Alkyl halides were converted efficiently to the corresponding alkyl thiocyanates under mild reaction conditions. No evidence for the formation of isothiocyanates as by-product of the reaction was observed
