چکیده:

Lack of knowledge of the asphaltene properties,its complex nature and large number of parameters affecting its precipitation, make thermodynamic models incapable of predictingamount of asphaltene precipitation without extensive pre-data fitting. To solve this problem, mathematical models proposed to predictasphaltene precipitation more accurately. Models based on scaling equation, are those in which theproperties of complex asphaltene are not involved. This paper presents an overview of various models of scaling equation with inclusion of their underlying assumptions.Successful models of asphaltene precipitation developed are described; seemingly Ashoori et al. model is more accurate
