چکیده:

Polymeric nanocomposites are a class of materials in which nanoscale particulates such as layered clays or spherical inorganic minerals are dispersed within polymeric matrices. In this paper, poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) based nanocomposites containing kaolin was prepared by melt compounding. Influence of kaolin on surface properties of PVC was investigated by the use of various surface analysis instruments including atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and reflectance spectroscopy (RS). AFM and SEM figures of the resultant nanocomposites illustrated increased surface roughness compared to pure PVC. Optical properties of nanocomposite films were finally determined by the aid of reflectance spectrophotometer.
