چکیده:

Because of high speed, visualization and better heterogeneity capturing, 3D streamline simulation now can contribute users to build more accurate models. Conventional finite difference simulation and streamline simulation of a synthetic naturally fractured reservoir are studied and compared. It is found that the accuracies of the two simulators are very close for two phase model whereas the speed of streamline method is greater. The speed difference increases for larger models. Therefore, it is possible investigate the dynamic behavior of geological models which has typically 106 to 107 grid blocks and compare it with the up-scaled model. The modeling of fractured reservoir with streamline simulation is the new subject in the field
