چکیده:

In this paper a three stage axial flow compressor design is verified by stream line curvature method. The compressor is designed based on known geometry but with a modified design considerations. In addition a stream line curvature code is developed and applied to this design by calculating through the eleven stream lines specified along the compressor. This analysis shows good consistency with the design calculations. Inthis regard, the analysis indicates the values of 4.68 and 94% for pressure ratio and efficiency respectively, while those calculated from design are 4.82 and 88%. Also temperature ratio is obtained 1.49 and 1.52 by analysis and design respectively. This acceptable agreement verifies the design of a three stage axial flow compressor.
