چکیده:

The main aim of the present work is to study the mechanical properties of the surface hybrid nanocomposite of Al5083/Al2O3p/Graphitep (hybrid nanocomposite). Vickers hardness measurements andtensile tests were performed to investigate the mechanical properties. The results were discussed based on microstructural observation of the samples by means of optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The hybrid nanocomposite indicated higher hardness value and strength than Al5083/Al2O3pnanocomposite. The higher strength of the hybrid nanocomposite was attributed to the better distribution and hence, lower mean interparticle spacing of the alumina particles in comparison with Al5083/Al2O3p nanocomposite
