چکیده:

Simulation of dynamic gas flow within a pipe-network requires a mathematical model of the whole network. Such models consist of large systems of non-linear partial differential equationsdescribing the pipe flow, with boundary conditions which are ordinary differential or algebraic equations. Asimulation program has been developed for this type of problems. Orthogonal collocation on finite elements (OCFE) is used as spatial discretization tool. This study includesnon- isothermal conditions, compressible fluid and gas networks with compressors. This methodology has the advantage of low run times since it requires less collocation points compared to finite difference family
