چکیده:

It has been found that the concentration of dissolved oxygen may become negligibly small due to a continuous increase in the discharge of organic pollutants into water body, thus threatening the survival of aquatic populations. In this paper a nonlinear ecological type of mathematical model for the depletion of dissolved oxygen in a water body has been selected. Variables of this model are concentration of dissolved oxygen, concentration of degradable organic pollutants, density of the bacteria, density of the protozoa and an aquatic population. Inputs of this model are oxygen and degradable organic pollutants. The selected model has been simulated in Simulink® MATLAB® R2007b – a software package using block diagrams which enables us to model, simulate, and analyze complicated nonlinear dynamic systems
