چکیده:

The Perturbed Chain Statistical Associating Fluid Theory, or PC-SAFT for short, is an innovative equation of state that can grasp the physics of the system more accurately than its cubic alternatives. In this paper, the differential liberation and constant mass expansion data of an Iranian oil sample are used to compare the accuracy of PC-SAFT and volume translated PR and SRK equations of state. Without any tuning of the equations with the experimental data, the simulation results of the three equation of state have been used to compare the EOS’s performance. It was found in this paper that while the cubic equations of state predicted saturation pressure, liquid density, and Y-factor more precisely, the PC-SAFT equation showed promising results in predicting other tests.
