چکیده:

In this study we attempted to introduce dialdehyde groups to a commercial regenerated cellulose (RC) ultrafiltration membranes by periodate oxidation. They werefurther converted to nitrogen-containing derivatives by Schiff base reaction with diethylenetriamine (DETA). The modified membrane was utilized for removal of Pb(II) metal ions from synthesized aqueous solutions. The different variables affecting the rejection by the membrane for metal ions such as oxidization time, concentration of DETA were investigated
