چکیده:

In this study distribution characteristics of a novel amorphous cation-exchanger for 10 metal ions have been studied. The values obtained for distribution coefficient had shown that the material is selective for Pb2+ and Co2+ ions being the potential contaminant in certain industrial effluents. On the basis of Kd values, important and analytically difficult quantitative binary separations of Co2+-Ni2+ and Pb2+-Ni2+ have been successfully achieved on the column of this ion exchanger. Regeneration of the ion exchanger shows that it losses only 25% of its original capacity.
