چکیده:

This paper presents to deal with secured optimal power flow using placement and sizing of Thyristor Controlled Series Compensator (TCSC) during the emergencies. In the other word, this paper suggests an optimal response incorporating optimal model of TCSC under the normal state and emergency condition in the power system. Moreover, the two novel indices of Thermal Capacity Index (TCI) and Contingency Capacity Index (CCI) are defined. When the location of TSCS recognized, thereafter the optimal sizing of TCSC calculates. Also For solving the OPF method is used interior point program.The proposed method is applied on IEEE 6-bus standard system and the obtained results verify the proposed method
