چکیده:

In this research a semi-detailed seismic evaluation method for Iranian unreinforced masonry buildings with and without steel or concrete tie beams using the first level screening method of standard for seismic evaluation of existing reinforced concrete building s of japan is presented. In this study, equations of the first level screening method of the standard has been rewritten for seismic evaluation of existing unreinforced masonry buildings in Iran by applying changes based on the Iranian codes and seismic evaluation methods of unreinforced masonrybuildings. Finally, the method is applied on a case study building and discussed.
