چکیده:

acceleration records from the recent earthquakes show that near field earthquakes are different with far field ground motions. Near field ground motion recordings have highlighted characteristics that are completely different with the far-field ones. these include distinctive pulse – like time histories high peak velocities and large ground displacements. these ground motions come in large varieties and impose high demands on structures compared to ordinary ground motions.
