In this paper, a new model to reproduce the ECG using three coupled weighted modified Van der Pol oscillators with time delays is presented. Since the ECG is more influenced byventricle depolarization, the coefficient variations of the oscillator which makes the QRS wave are studied and their effects on the produced ECG are investigated. Specifically, it isshown that assuming a flexible relation between the response of this oscillator and its rate canimprove some features such as the magnitude, duration and slope of the QRS wave for the produced ECG. The T wave amplitude, also, becomes smaller than that of the P one. Sincethe power of the pacemaker signals and the time they are sensed in a real ECG recorder aredifferent, a new relation that considers some weighting factors for the oscillator responses and the time they act on the ECG is recommended
