چکیده:

In this research, a foam fractionation setup is applied to remove Zn(II), Ni(II), and Pb(II) from a simulated acidic wastewater. Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) is used to generate the foam. An increase in SDS/metal molar ratio enhances the removal of heavy metals. However, increase in SDS concentration and air flow rate result in wetter foams, leading to generation high volumes of foam that lower both enrichment and separation factors. It is demonstrated that foam fractionation is a promising technique for removal of heavy metals from feeds with low concentrations
