چکیده:

Rehabilitation and seismic improvement of monuments and old buildings are now under consideration of many countries’ governments. Finding appropriate materials to be applied in these projects is one ofthe most important parts of these researches. In this study, mechanical characteristics of lime and cement mortars as a widely used material in Kerman have been investigated under uniaxial compressive tests. The tests’ results show that by variation in ratio of lime/cement various mechanical properties could be obtained from these kinds of mortars and desired brittle or ductile behavior can be also obtained and this information can be applied in computer simulation of rehabilitated old building and monuments.
