چکیده:

Wastewater from oil industries contains high levels of oil-contaminated soil that present low biodegradability. A large number of treatment systems employed to prevent reducing the efficiency of the wastewater treatment station. Treatment processes have incorporated physical, chemical or biological phenomena, or a combination of these processes. This paper reviews the developments, and design and operational aspects of recent methods such as bioaugmentation, biostimulation, emulsification and demulsifucation, advanced oxidation, supercritical oxidation, enzymatic hydrolysis, electrodeposition, electrocoagulation, electroflotation and electrooxidation, adsorption and biosorption and membrane processes for treatment of wastewater containing oil-contaminated soil. The various treatment options compared in terms of their effectiveness, ease of operation, and cost.
