چکیده:

In this research, multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) was functionalized with epoxy group on the surface via chemical modification. All of new synthesis compounds were characterized by FT-IR and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique. Epoxy nanocomposite samples, were prepared by mixing epoxy resin (DGEBA) and synthetic epoxy functional multiwall carbon nanotube (EMWNT) with optimum ratio (9 %) in acetone. Ultrasonic dispersion treatment was utilized to produce homogenous blends. The kinetics of the cure reaction for epoxy nanocomposite with 4, 4′-diaminodiphenylsolfon (DDS) as a curing agent was studied by means of non-isothermal technique of DSC. The kinetics parameters such as activation energy (Ea), pre-exponential factor (A) and rate constant (K) were obtained from DSC data using the Kissinger, Ozawa and Isoconversional equations. The morphology of nanocomposite and dispersion of EMWNT in the composites was observed using SEM and the thermal properties was studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
