Metal nanoparticles have mainly been studied because of their unique optical properties [1, 2]. Over the last decade, the novel technique that is known as liquid phase pulsed laser ablation (LP-PLA) has aroused intense interest. This is a simple and versatile method to synthesize nanoparticles. Indeed, LP-PLA has proven effective method for preparation of many nano structured materials.Recently, the LP-PLA technique has been applied to synthesis of Zn and ZnO nanoparticles in aqueous solution containing different surfactants. These surfactants stick to the charged particle surfaces, preventing further growth and result the production of small particle size [3, 4].In this research we have investigated the formation of Zn nanoparticles by laser ablation of zinc metal target in aqueous solution of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) with concentration 0.1 M
