چکیده:

In this study, for the first time, the tensile modulus of PP/Nanoclay/CaCO3 ternary nanocomposite has been analyzed. Initially, the conventional composite models were developed and evaluated for the current ternary system. The developed Halpin-Tsai equation shows a good agreement with the experimental results. After that, Takayanagi and Kerner-Nielsen models were simplified and modified to predict the tensile modulus of PP/Nanoclay/CaCO3 ternary system, accurately. The suggested models can predict the tensile modulus of nanocomposite using the Young’s modulus and volume fractions of matrix and nanofillers. The calculated tensile modulus by the modified models is well fitted to the experimental results
