چکیده:

In the present work, a Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) is utilized for isothermal incompressible flow in porous media. The influence of porous media is considered by introducing the porosity to the equilibrium distribution function and by adding a force term to the evolution equation to account for the linear and nonlinear drag forces of the medium (the Darcy’s term and the Forcheimer’s term). Through the Chapman-Enskog procedure, the generalized Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible flow in porous media are derived from the present lattice Boltzmann model. The lid-driven cavity flow with porous medium has been simulated for different values of porosity and Darcy numbers. It is found that the numerical results agree well with the existing data in the literature
