چکیده:

Heavy metals have inhibitory effects on growth of microorganisms during the activated sludge process & affect the performance of waste water treatment .The paper reports employe of Differential pulse polarographic (DPP) and anodic stripping voltammetric (DP-ASV) techniques for determination of Zn, Cu, Pb and Cd in the wastewater of Industrial Wastewater from petrochemical companies at Pars Special Economic Energy Zone. The main advantage of stripping analysis is the preconcentration of the analyte into the electrode before making the actual current measurement. Anodic stripping can achieve detection of concentrations as low as 10-10 M. .Two samples were collected from Inlet & Outlet wastewater plants at Mobin Petrochemical Company – Assalouyeh. Results are obtained by means of standard additions graph, A multi-step standard addition method was applied on the polarographic and voltammetric peaks of the four metal ions for calculation of the concentration level of each metal ion in the collected samples.. Results for Zn, Cd, Pb and Cu are in agreement with results obtained by AAS. Zn, Cu, Pb and Cd removal during Wastewater treatment are discussed.
