چکیده:

in this paper we analyze the performance of a hybrid ARQ/AFFC scheme that adjusts the code rate to match the channel conditions a hybrid automatic-repeat-request system combined with adaptive FEC ARQ/AFECalters the error-correcting capability according to the channel state using nonsystematic reed-solomon code NRS.the new ARQ scheme is virtual multiple data links VMDL that is carried out over a single physical circuit and go-back -N ARQ. the hybrid ARQ/AFEC has high throughput efficiency in a wide range of bit error rate the system can alter the error -correcting capabiliity only with varying the number of information symbols fed to the encoder. this proposed protocol is easy to implement and this scheme has higher throughput efficiency than selective repeat.
