چکیده:

Huang mathematical programming model is solved in this paper for determining the optimal water usage and treatment network in Imam Khomeini oil refining company of shazand (IMORCS),which will features the least amount of fresh water consumption and minimum wastewater treatment capacity. In particular, due to modeling relations of all wastewater treatment facilitiesand all units which utilize either process or utility water are included in the model; overall integration on IMORCS can be achieved. Special point in this paper is the comparison between the results of mathematical programming and pinch approach. The results showed that the huang method is more accurate, more reliable, and much faster in synthesizing the water networks
