Nowadays the problem of decreasing air trafficcongestion in purpose of having on time flight operations indesirable routes has been posed as one of importantoptimization problems. Presenting better and more secureservices to flights will get possible with air traffic decreasing.Up to now different methods have been posed for decreasing airtraffic congestion which is divided into two groups: classicaland intelligent. In classical methods air traffic is manipulatedeither with the user or with computer systems. Although thesemethods are being used today in every controlling centers butthey are not optimized for having the best traffic congestion.Today many efforts have been done to optimize air traffic usingintelligent methods. In this paper, by using Particle SwarmOptimization (PSO) algorithm, we have optimized the air trafficcongestion and this has led to suitable changes in future flightplans and decreasing the workload on air traffic controller
