چکیده:

Over the recent decades the conversion of methanol to light olefins (MTO) has drawn a remarkable attention due to the industrial interest as it reducesthe dependency on petroleum naphtha to produce the highly desired ethene and propene derived products. To increase the selectivity toward light olefins,several modifications of SAPO-34 were suggested especially with respect to metal substitution in to the framework. Different useful ex-situ methods whichcan be used to identify the status of the introduced metal were categorized. In the next step, complete study was done on enhancement of the MTO processregarding to utilized metal for modification and synthesis method. Different properties of SAPO materials have changed by implementing variousmetals in the synthesis procedure. Among them, acidity variation was the most discussed one. A set of characterizations needs to be done to judge properly about the modification has occurred.
