چکیده:

In this paper, numerical solutions of the singular integral equations obtained by fracture mechanics analysis of wedge with an interfacial crack are considered. We consider an infinite radius wedge with an interfacial crackand traction-traction boundary conditions. Then, the resultant coupled singular integral equations are solved analytically and numerically-by two methods- and then achieved results are exhibited as figures. It’s the firsttime that Gauss-Legendre method is used for approximating the response of singular integral equations in fracture mechanics problems. As depicted in figures, unlike documented results which have expressed that ”Gauss-Chebyshev approximation method is not an advised method for solving singular integral equations obtained in contact mechanics problems, Gauss-Legendre approximation response is more coincident with analytical response” Gauss-Chebyshev approximation response is in better agreement with analytical response rather than Gauss-Legendre approximation response
