چکیده:

Considering the number of pile driving projects in south part of Iran, A numerical model is developed to study the effect of pile driving in soil. This model should have the ability to calculate and predict the ultimate bearing capacity of piles with sufficient accuracy. By using this numerical model and exact prediction, lower safety factor and more economic design could be achieved. By comparing the results of numerical model and cavity expansion theory, the numerical model have been verified. Numerical analysis and comparison with cavity expansion has shown the good match between the results, especially in relatively soft clay. But in stiffer soil the results show more errors between numerical model and cavity expansion theory.
