This paper presents the results of a numerical study on the power-law fluid flow characteristics and heat transfer over two equal square cylinders in a tandem arrangement. Spacing between the tandem cylinders is forth widths of the cylinder side and power-law index range from 0.7 to 1.6 at Re=160 and Pr=0.7. Unsteady incompressible laminar flows in the 2-D regime are performed. In this study, the mean and instantaneous streamlines, vorticity and temperature contours for different power-law indexes are presented and discussed. In addition, the global quantities such as pressure and friction coefficients, rms of lift and drag coefficients, Strouhal and Nusselt numbers are determined and discussed for various power-law indexes.
