چکیده:

Flow study due to leakage in buried pipes has many applications in various fields of sciences such as: agriculture, fluid transportation, environmental concerns, nuclear wastes ant etc. There are many parameters which affect the flow including: fluid and surrounding porous media properties, leak location, shape of the leakage, the leaking velocity, the condition of porous media (it may be saturated or unsaturated), burial depth, boundary conditions and etc. subsurface irrigation is the most advance method of irrigation which has a lot of advantages in comparison with other methods of irrigation. For optimizing the subsurface irrigation the required time and how the water will reach to the root of the plant should be understood. In the present study, the Unsteady flow of discharging fluid to unsaturated porous media from leakage of a buried pipe has been simulated numerically for two different leakage locations and the advancing front velocity of outgoing fluid has been calculated
