چکیده:

Correlation between hardness, yield stress and modulus of elasticity of isotactic polypropylene was evaluated on local- and global-scale. The nanoindentation and traditional macro-mechanical tests were incorporated for this purpose. The mechanical properties were measured at various temperatures and strain rates. The certain relation was found between the local and global mechanical properties. Moreover, Johnson’ model (developed according to expanding cavity model (ECM)) was also evaluated at various temperatures and strain rates. It was found that the Jonson’s model is valid only for the yield stress obtained by nanoindentation and compressive tests and also the modulus obtained via nanoindentation
