چکیده:

The present investigation has been conducted to clarify the formation mechanisms of nano structures in an accumulative back extruded (ABEed) AZ31 magnesium alloy. Thedeformation pattern involved in the accumulative back extrusion (ABE) is mainly controlled by shear bands formation. This was accompanied by cell structure development which subsequently transformed to equiaxed ultrafine and nano-sized grains. Moreover, it was foundthat transverse boundaries had segmented the nano twins into regions of ultra-fine and nanoscale size.
