چکیده:

Nanocrystalline calcium aluminate (CaO.2Al2O3) was prepared by a simple co-precipitation method using Poly (ethylene glycol)-block-poly(propylene glycol)-block poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG-PPG-PEG, MW:5800) assurfactant and employed as catalyst support for potassium modified 7wt.% nickel catalysts in methane reformingwith carbon dioxide. The prepared samples were charactrized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption (BET)and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique. The results showed relatively high catalytic activity and stability for all the k modified catalysts. Among the prepared catalysts 1% K-7%Ni/CaO.2Al2O3 catalyst showedhigh activity and lower carbon formation in comparison with not modified catalyst. After five hours on streamthe SEM results showed that with increase in potassium content the formation of whisker carbon over spent catalysts decreases.
