چکیده:

Methyl orange or 4-(2-p-sodium benzene sulfonate)-N, N-dimethylbenzenamine is a dye that often is used as an acid-base indicator. Methyl orange is an indicator and due to its clear color change, it is very often used in titrations. In this study, we investigated the chemical functionalization of carboxylated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNT–COOH) by Methyl Orange. Multiwalled nanotube (MWNT)-Methyl Orange was obtained by an MWNT–COOH reaction with Methyl orange after 6 day, which was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and UV spectra.
