چکیده:

In this study, a numerical model carried out to predict of the thermal performance of a packed bed solar air heater. The model was solved to compute the air temperature and the effect of the massflow rate and varying porosities of the packed material on its thermal performance. The solarcollector operates under steady state condition and temperatures change only in the flow direction. The model results indicated that the presence of packed material can improve the thermalperformance. Moreover, decrease in porosity increases the air outlet temperature and by increase of the mass flow rate the air outlet temperature decreased
